Miss Maud by Maud Frizon Vintage AW 1987 for Patrick Kelly Black Leather Colorful Bow Small Handbag
Adorable and cool vintage bag by Miss Maud. Miss Maud is a division of Maud Frizon, who was known for her many collaborations with some of the world's best designers. One of those collaborations was Patrick Kelly, who she made countless bags and shoes for, to compliment his runway shows. Twins of this bag have been featured in Patrick Kelly exhibitions, as shown in the reference photos here. While this bag is fully branded as Miss Maud, it is evidenced by the fact that Maud Frizon produced many accessories for Patrick Kelly, many of which are shown is museums, that this is one of those. This bag comes in a buttery supple black leather and features the cutest little bows in a variety of colors at the front side. Dual top handle design, with a top side zipper that close with a golden heart puller that reads 'Miss Maud'. Lined in suede. Small interior zippered pocket. Original Bloomingdale's tag still attached, this piece has never been used.
Made in France
Leather / Suede / Gold Tone Metal
Measurements: 7.75" Width, 7" Height (not including handles), 4.5" Depth, 3.5" Handle Drop
Condition: Good overall condition. This item is deadstock, with original tags still attached, and has never been previously used/worn. Despite this, due to years of storage, there are some light signs of age/wear, some very minor scratches and marks here and there, and some light wrinkling. There is also a little bit of aged glue showing on the baby blue bow on the handle. The most notable flaw to mention is that the handle has some 'cracking' to the leather along the rounding. To be honest, these look like wrinkles unless you mess with it, and they are not going to detract or render the bag unusable.
