Vintage 1950s Couture Black Pleated Tulle with Flowers Strapless Gown

Jaw-dropping vintage 1950s gown. This breathtaking dress is made to couture standards and the details are absolutely to die for. Tiered, pleated tulle layered over two more layers of tulle, all atop a layered and structured taffeta full skirt. Strapless, ruched tulle bodice layered over taffeta and then lined in silk. Nipped waist makes the bodice fitted and enhances the full skirt silhouette. Zip closure at the backside that is then concealed with a row of buttons. Attached to the bodice is a sheer layer of tulle that is like a reverse cape, which buttons at the back of the neck and is open beyond that. You can leave it hanging or tie it at the back of the waist to allow for arm movement. And if it couldn't get better than that, all of this is adorned with handmade, pale pinkish-white flowers, trimmed and centered in black velvet. Surprisingly, there is no label within, but trust us when we say that this dress is a masterpiece and is made to the levels of all of the greatest 1950s couturiers like Balenciaga, Balmain, Jacques Fath, and more.

Condition: Excellent overall condition and presents beautifully! There are a couple breaks in the tulle that are very hard to find/notice due to the fullness of the dress.
