Vivienne Westwood Vintage 1990s Original Greenish-Brown Croc Embossed Leather Elevated Court Shoes

Iconic vintage Vivienne Westwood 'Elevated Court Shoes' from the early 1990s. First introduced in Fall 1990, Westwood is credited with the revival and reintroduction of the platform shoe into the era, and reused and reinvented her own design in different colors/finishes for a few years following. Originally designed in collaboration with legendary shoe designer Patrick Cox, this perfectly designed silhouette combines fetish and high fashion. This particular, early pair comes in a greenish-brown crocodile embossed leather, and features the elevated platform front and a chunky, slightly curved heel. Leather lined. Beige hard sole. A dream shoe! These have never been worn and come with their original box and packaging. (PS: you can find the same pair in pink croc in the Met's permanent collection!)
