Bill Gibb Vintage AW 1976 Kaffe Fassett 'Byzantine' Striking Geometric Knit Cape
Iconic, out of this world vintage cape by Bill Gibb, from the Fall/Winter 1976 Byzantine collection (see drawing reference amongst photos here). Designed in collaboration with close friend Kaffe Fasset, this piece features an incredible geometric intarsia inspired by Moorish arches, in a striking color combo consisting of grey-white and purple on black. Lovely cut that is essentially a full circle, with stitched passages for the arm to slide through on each side. Capelet layer on top matches the trim, which features a zig zag design throughout. Self tie closure at front - one at the neck and one below the bust line. An essential piece of this legendary designer's legacy.

Accommodates a range of sizes - please refer to measurements to ensure a proper fit.
Measurements: Bust up to 46", Waist FREE, Hip FREE, Length 39", Shoulder 19", Sleeve 20"
Condition: Great overall condition, presents beautifully, with minor signs of wear here and there. There are a few mends to the knit, majority of them are underneath the upper capelet at back, are well done, and not noticeable at all when worn either because they are covered by the capelet or blend with the pattern. Priced accordingly.
