Incredibly special vintage Christian Dior dress, by John Galliano, from the Fall/Winter 2000 'Fly Girls' collection. This runway, and John Galliano's work at this time, were said to have changed the way people would dress for the coming decades. This is a phenomenal piece from John Galliano's time at Dior. Trompe l'oeil Diorella-esque denim print in varying shades of blue on a soft velvet with a semi-sheen. Ombre-dyed curly Mongolian lamb collar, cuffs, on the pocket flaps, and around the pockets. Dual button closure at front waist with horn-like buttonsin shades of brown. Optional matching self tie belt. Fully lined in navy blue silk with an embroidered CD monogram toward the bottom right side. Fullish, a-line skirt-like bottom with layered flap vent at backside. Only a few of these seem to exist in varying colors and fabrics, and this one ranks among the two very best we've seen- the other belonging to Rihanna as shown here (articles were literally written by the major magazines about her wearing and acquiring this piece). A rare chance to own a highly sought after jewel, coveted by collectors, celebs, and fashionistas alike.
