Comme des Garcons Vintage AW2002 Iconic Black Knit Circle Button Up Bolero Cardigan Sweater
Incredible and iconic vintage Comme des Garcons sweater from Fall/Winter 2002, shown documented here on the runway. This highly sought after piece hails from what is often referred to as the 'Free Knitting' or 'Knitting is Free' collection, and you'll find many examples from this runway are museum-held. Like all Rei Kawakubo fashions, this piece is conceptual - it forms a full circle when laid completely flat. Black knit wool with intentionally raw edges. Butterscotch tortoise buttons close the front and form a scrunched/stretched look that exudes effortless style. Off set flap pockets at side. This cardigan fits like a cropped sweater or bolero, and looks great paired with jeans or a maxi dress.
