Insanely amazing vintage Comme des Garcons top, shown here documented on the Spring/Summer 2003 runway. For this collection, Rei Kawakubo sought to decorate the garments without using any external embellishments, instead using extensive lengths of fabrics that could be manipulated to establish intricate creations. Aside from this piece being PEAK Rei Kawakubo dreams, we'd say it embodies exactly what she set out to do. A vivid, highly saturated hot pink, airy cotton gauze, with twists and turns and incredible gathered knots throughout. Pulls over the head, with no closures. An easy to wear shirt that delivers head-turning results. A work of art.
