Outstanding vintage necklace by Italian masters Coppola e Toppo, from the late 1950s/early 1960s. This fantastic piece of jewelry is worth getting weak in the knees over. Faux pearls with a cultured appearance are interwoven with Venetian jet black glass beads that are faceted and so beautiful that appear to sparkle as they hit the light. Brass finishings and hardware, also adorned with woven on beads and pearls. Adjustable length with hook closure. Condition: Good overall condition, highly wearable. It is said that the way Coppola y Toppo jewelry ages has an antique charm. Pearls show signs of wear such as scratches, spots, nicks, and light dings. Glass shows minor signs of wear. Brass signature plates are scratched and worn, but not visible as they lay against the skin. Pearls woven into brass show some age and wear, some are missing the finish.
