Amazing vintage cropped jacket by James Galanos, circa late 70s/early 80s. Softest, deep black wool/alpaca that has almost a faux fur like appeal, and although it is a jacket it has the weight of a coat. High, standing collar with incredible stitched details that span the upper bodice onto the back. Structured, padded shoulder. Open front with no closure. Lined in a silk feeling acetate. A timeless, chic piece. Deadstock, never worn, with tags attached from Nan Duskin still attached, with original price of $2950.00.
