Givenchy Haute Couture Vintage AW 1978 Documented Black Lace and Green Duchess Satin Gown
Stunning vintage Givenchy (by Hubert Givenchy) HAUTE COUTURE gown from Fall/Winter 1978, shown here documented on the runway. This phenomenal piece of fashion history has a sheer black lace bodice, with hand cut and hand sewn velvet floral appliques and hand beading throughout. Stitched at under bust in the center for a more precise fit, lined in beige tulle. Bright green duchess silk satin cummerbund and skirt with pleats at the upper and material inside for a fuller look at the hips that lightly tapers toward the hem. Semi-structured overlay at backside that wraps toward the hip. The entire piece and the interior, as you would expect in a Haute Couture piece, is completely hand stitched and hand finished. Zip closure at backside and additional snap closure at outer skirt layer.
