Remarkable vintage 1940s coat. Deep black wool with silken cord and beaded foliage embellishments at the collar and sleeve. A line shape with flap pockets at front. Double breasted front with fabric buttons and the cutest stitched details over them. Perhaps the very best detail of this coat is the double layered sleeve - featuring a larger bell sleeve layered over a more fitted sleeve that is part satin/part wool with a buttoned cuff. Padded, structured, strong shoulder. Fully lined in satin. An impressive coat that is a true treasure.
