Insanely amazing vintage Junya Watanabe (Comme des Garcons) dress from Spring/Summer 2003. This highly coveted piece is a collector's dream, shown here documented on the runway. At the Met Museum, 4 out of the 14 Junya Watanabe pieces held by the institution hail from this well regarded collection. Made of medium-weight nylon taffeta in black. Buckles and straps span the piece vertically, allow you to adjust the ruching of it creating a dramatic gather. The same buckle/strap system spans the neck horizontally for the same. Open back, with strap details - phenomenal. Pulls over the head, with no zippers or closures. Raw edge hem. Meant to have a slightly oversized fit away from the body. Made of design dreams.
