Rare, collectible and highly sought after halter top from Maison Martin Margiela. Margiela is an absolutely legendary designer - staging the first retrospective collection by a designer in fashion history in Spring/Summer 1994, just a few short years after his introductory collection in Spring/Summer 1989. The original pieces had blank white tags, and those he revisited in the 1994 retrospective collection and designated original collection year printed on these white labels.  This halter top holds iconic status and appeared on both the original runway and retrospective show. Condition: Excellent condition. Light snags and runs to nylon are intentional light distressing consistent with the look and style of the designer. Cotton exhibits the most ultra light fading typical of this type of material. Inside tags indicate this piece was hardly worn, if ever.
