Missoni Vintage 1976 'Satellite' Black White Pointillism Dot Print Silk Jersey Dress and Hooded Cape Ensemble Set

Breathtaking vintage Missoni ensemble from 1976. Museum held, shown here at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. This fantastic set comes with both a dress and cape made of the absolute finest silk jersey ever created. Liquid, fluid, and light as a feather in black with an optical white dot/pointillism print throughout in pattern of rays, creating a shimmer-like effect. Dress has a v-shaped neckline and is more fitted at the bust, with a cascading a-line shape that has such a dramatic effect in motion. Black woven trimmings line the neck and extend to create ultra-skinny straps. Gorgeous backside reveals your upper back. Incredible cape WITH HOOD that has an impressive sweep- drama! drama! drama! Condition: Great overall condition. This fabric is delicate, so they are a couple snags here and there on each piece. On the right front tail of the cape, there are 3 yellowish stains that vary in size from dime to quarter - we did not want to risk the fabric bleeding by treating them. They do really get lost in the print/fabric and should go unnoticed when worn.
