Exquisite vintage lucite bag by Wilardy, circa 1955-59 - this same exact bag documented/pictured in the book Carry Me by Janice Berkson, page 135. Will Hardy and his Wilardy handbags are considered the gold standard of these collectible treasures, and this bag will make you feel like you are carrying a true piece of art. We're over the moon to be able to handle this one in real life, as the tiger striped motif lucite is amongst the RAREST of the rare. This particular shape/style is universally dubbed the 'Lunchbox' for it's similarities to the metal lunchboxes from the yesteryear. Fabulous twisted, swivel/hinged handle. Brass metal filigree lift latch closure adorned with a small black pearl center. Fits any size iPhone and more!

Condition: Excellent overall condition. Truly minor surface scratches here and there, minor/more notable scratches on the bottom from friction, of course. Some darkening to the metal adornment on the clasp and hardware. There is the slightest warping above and below the hinge at the backside. Small, minor divot above there. Hinge is warped/curvy at the inside, but does not affect it from opening at all, and does not affect it's daily ease of use. Priced accordingly - this piece presents beautifully. We mention condition in detail for full disclosure, but trust us- it's nearly impossible to find bags like this in this amazing level of condition.
