YOUTHQUAKE Vintage 1960s Rare Metallic Silver Mod Mini Dress
In the 1960s, Puritan created the label YOUTHQUAKE to embody the essence of the mod movement and attract a more youthful clientele, and subsequently, created and opened the boutique/label Paraphernalia in NYC to stock and sell the line and others. Employing some of the most innovative, and yet unknown talents of the time, for both labels/lines- the roster for YOUTHQUAKE included Mary Quant, Emmanuelle Khanh, Michael Mott, and more. This incredible and rare piece is surely designed by one of these legends, capturing everything you could ever want in a 1960s dress. This metallic silver lurex mini dress features flared, bell sleeves layered over bubble elastic cuff. A-line, carefree silhouette with darted bust. Little keyhole detail at chest below a slightly squared neckline adorned with a burgundy infused woven trim that is also on the sleeves. Zipper closure at back center. Unlined. This amazing piece still has it's original tag attached and has never been worn!
