Remarkable, breathtaking and rare vintage Yves Saint Laurent HAUTE COUTURE Necklace c. 1990. This insanely beautiful piece was first created in Spring 1962, designed in collaboration with Roger Scemama. A sentimental symbol of the house, Yves' favorite model of the season would wear an evolving variation of the piece to close each Haute Couture runway show from its inception until his final runway show in 2002. Many models got to wear the piece twice! Dubbed the Couer de Saint Laurent, or the Coeur Fetiche- Yves believed "Without elegance of the heart, there is no elegance". Comprised of smoky crystals that sparkle beyond belief, with glowing red rivoli crystals and baroque pearls sporadically throughout. A deep red glass drop ascends from the bottom. The abstract heart shaped pendant in jointed and comes with both a bail and a pin back- allowing you to wear it as a necklace or a brooch. Red crystal rhinestone chain with hook closure and YSL Haute Couture cartouche charm at the back. Deep darkened silver tone/gunmetal setting. A true treasure to behold and cherish.

Condition: Excellent overall condition. Minor scratches to the dangling cartouche. Wear to the finish of the faux pearls. Presents beautifully and transcends these minor flaws.
