Zandra Rhodes Vintage AW 1980 'Elizabethan Collection' Grey Pleated Pearl Embellished Mohair Alpaca Sweater

Incredible and rare vintage Zandra Rhodes sweater from Fall/Winter 1980. This unique piece is absolutely incredible - and apparently Zandra Rhodes has one in her own archive that she selected for 'Fifty Years of Fabulous', her exhibit at the Fashion and Textile Museum back in 2020. Loveliest shade of grey mohair and alpaca blend knit. A pleated/ribbed trim frames the shoulders and curves like shells inward, embellished with huge, chunky bronzey-pink pearls. The same trim runs along the bottom, except the shell-like shape is a little pocket! Tunic length, almost mini-dress status.

Condition: Excellent condition. Very, very minor signs of wear to pearls but only noticed under ultra close inspection.
